Ahoy, pirate friends!
If you've responded to your survey and provided us with the necessary credit card and shipping information, you're well on your way to receiving your loot! Shipping and taxes have now been charged, production is nearing completion, and we are - amazingly - still on track to deliver everything to you by the end of August. The charge will show up your creditcard as www.mcmiller.fun.
NOTE: Shipping addresses with be LOCKED on the 31st of July for the US and Canada and the 1st of July for the rest of the world. So any changes to your shipping address need to be made ASAP.
We had some test plays with the final productions sample of the main game, with some prototypes of the stretch goals. Before shipping we'll be sharing more pics and videos, we are soooo exctited.
Keep an eye out sometime mid-August for tracking numbers, start warmin' up your firin' arm, and practice your best pirate accent.. Fire In The Hole is COMIN' SOON!

Hello, dear pirates! It’s been less than a month since the Kickstarter campaign closed, and already we miss all of ye! But fear not - we’ve been speakin’ in pirate lingo to make ourselves feel better. Anyway, the real reason we’re here is to share excitin’ news - the Pledge Manager is now open! We have a barrel full o’ news for ye, so read on…
By now you should have received the long-awaited email from BackerKit to process your order. Please complete it as quickly as you can. The email will come from "McMiLLER - FIRE IN THE HOLE" with the subject line "Response Needed — Get your reward for FIRE IN THE HOLE". Completing the survey is ESSENTIAL. You will have the chance to do the following:
- Provide your Shipping Address
- Upgrade your pledge
- Purchase Add-Ons (any add-ons already purchased through Kickstarter will automatically be placed in your cart).
- Pay for Shipping and Taxes
To ensure you get your rewards ASAP, the Pledge Manager will close on May 21, 2022. So get those orders in lickety-split! If you can't find the email or you‘ve misplaced it, you can use this link to manually retrieve your survey - just make sure you use the email associated with your Kickstarter account.
AVAST YE! Pirate rules dictate that if ye don't complete the survey, we can't fulfill yer order.
Your order will be locked and charged automatically as soon as your survey is submitted. Once submitted, you will not have access to edit your order except for the shipping address. Please be sure your order details are final before submitting your survey.

It's been two weeks!

It's been two weeks since the campaign finished, and you are all deserving of an update! We have truly missed all of the fun interactions we had during the campaign, and it's been a little too quiet the last few weeks, but the good news is Fire In The Hole will be delivered within the time frame promised!
We are still on track to deliver your rewards by the end of August. And not to fear, as this is well in advance of international Pirate Day on the 19th of September!
Production is underway and all copies, including the stretch goals and expansion packs, should be done by the 15th of June. We then set sail to deliver them to our warehouses and start fulfilling orders around the 10th of August. We'll keep you posted every step of the way.
The stretch goals are shaping up to be a very special treat. The Name Yer Vessel kit is so much fun, we can't wait to see all of you ripping open the rum bottle and shower the ship with confetti. It will also come with 25 name tags that you can stick to the back of the ship for you to write the most piratey silly names on.
The Treasure Chests are even better than we hoped, they will fit 6 cannonballs (you play with 6 and get two spare balls). They are gorgeous jewellery boxes that slide open. They will come in the Booty bag for safe keeping; we tried our best to make them fit inside the main box but in the end, we had to decide between the quality of the treasure chests and ease of use or them fitting inside the box. In the end, we decided on quality and ease and you won't be disappointed. Pics of production samples to follow!
The Kraken, ooft our supreme stretch goal is going to be one intense beast. The question will always be who is going to shout, Release the Kraken, first!? In test games, the atmosphere was intensely palpable when you feel someone is gearing up to release it. The Kraken won't make scoring completely impossible, as we realized that it was just frustrating and not fun. The best moments are when you manage to beat the Kraken and land that one cannonball to win the game!
The Killer Cannonballs cards are going through their last updates as we realized that they weren't identifiable enough in your hand, so we changed the background color to yellow. Play one of these when some other gleeful pirate thinks they have the upper hand but are then made to do the Backwards Bucko and must toss the cannonball over their shoulder, or play Piratey Chairs on yourself and swap seats with another pirate for one fire to get a better firing position.
This, in addition to all the other stretch goals and expansion packs, makes us extremely proud and so excited to share them with you.
Housekeeping
This week we will start sending out the surveys so we can collect your shipping addresses, charge for shipping, and local taxes.
There will be a chance for people whose credit card played up in the last few weeks to reinstate their pledge or upgrade their pledge to get all the Kickstarter exclusives, or order more copies for the one-time discounted Kickstarter price.
We have been getting a lot of interest from retailers and and other publishers from around the world and hopefully will be launching other language editions in 2023.

After 2 years of product development, and months of planning.... WE DID IT! We've reached the end of the campaign - with a mind blowing 4458 Pirates and $232,669 raised - and we can't wait to get these games into the hands of all you wonderful scallywags and salty sea dogs... after the worlds biggest nap, of course.
In two weeks time you will receive a survey from us through our pledge manager (Backerkit), in which you can add additional items, confirm your address and pay for shipping and taxes. We will update here too to let you know it has gone out.
A massive and heartfelt THANK YOU for joining us on this journey - we never dreamed such a fabulous crew would assemble around this labor of love!
We are on schedule to deliver all rewards by the end of August!
